These resources are invaluable for the entire AWR process, including researching for your AWR paper's specific topic. You must ensure that a particular resource applies to college and university sports law.
We often get reference questions about where to find items or how to place an ILL. So, we wanted to include information on how to find items using the catalog and our e-databases list, as well as information on how to place an ILL. You can also always reach out to LawLibRef@shu.edu if you are having trouble locating/accessing a resource.
The library catalog contains information on resources that we may have as well as resources that other institutions have. The GIF below shows how to locate and use the catalog most efficiently, as well as how to filter to resources that we provide access to.
TIP: When searching for articles, search for the title of the news source or journal, NOT the article title. (ex: If you would like to access something in Forbes, search for "Forbes," not the title of the article you are looking to access.)
For items that we do not provide access to, you can always place an ILL. It is recommended that you place an ILL through the catalog. More information on ILLs can be found on our ILL page.
The e-databases list contains links to the databases that the library provides access to. There are a subject filter in the database list to help you narrow it down to the most appropriate database for a particular research query. Each database also contains a description of what it contains to help you better decide where to look. Should you notice any issues with the database list, or if you need assistance deciding what database may be helpful for your research, please email LawLibRef@shu.edu.
