Checking Books Out from the Law Library

To check books out from the Law Library to your faculty member, perform the following steps:

  1. Take the item you'd like to check out to the Rodino Center Law Library's Service Desk.
  2. Tell the staff member at the Service Desk that you would like to check an item out to a faculty member.
  3. They will check you against the list of Faculty RAs, and then check the item out in the faculty member's name.
  4. You are then responsible for delivering the book to the faculty member.

Requesting Materials from Other Libraries: Interlibrary Loan

  • If you can't locate the item that you need at the Rodini Library we can request the book or article from another library. .
  • The easiest way to submit an ILL is directly through the Catalog.  Once you locate the item you would like to request  click on "Request Item Through Interlibrary Loan".  You will be taken to a form where you provide your information.  Please use your SHU email rather than a personal one.  Also, in the Comments section please let us know you are requesting on behalf of a faculty member.   ILL via Catalog
