Vendor specific instructions for downloading and using library eBooks.

Access Instructions

1.  Click the “View eBook” option from the catalog.

2.  Login using your SHU credentials.

3.  You will see a message stating, “You are successfully logged in via your institutional account.” and the item you previously selected via the catalog should be visible. [Note: If the item is not visible once logged in, keep the window open and go back to the catalog tab to click “View eBook” again. At that point the new window that opens should show correctly. If not, you can search for the item via the Cambridge search bar instead. If the item still does not appear, please reach out to LawLibRef@shu.edu.]

How to View Part or All of the Item

Underneath the “Contents” tab, the item will be divided into sections.

Items can be viewed by viewing the entire thing or by section.

1.  To view all sections: Under “Actions for selected content:” click “Select all” then “View selected items."

 

2.  To view a specific section: Next to the section you would like to see, click either the “PDF” or “HTML” option depending on your viewing preference.

While in “HTML” view of any section, you will see a contents tab to the left of the screen where you can navigate to different parts of the item.

How to Download the Item

There are three ways to download sections:

1.  Via the “Contents” tab,

2.  While viewing in HTML, or

3.  While viewing in PDF.

1.  To download via the “Contents” tab: Use the boxes next to each section to select the items you would like to download. After all selections are made, under “Actions for selected content:”, select “Download PDF (zip)”.

 

After, a window will appear confirming your download selections. Click “Confirm” to proceed.

2.  To download an item while viewing in HTML: Click “Save PDF” and select your download preference.

3.  To download an item while viewing in PDF, you can either:

i.  Click the download icon Graphical user interface, text, application
