All authorized users (such as SHU Law students) have the opportunity to create an account (for free) which allows them to take notes, highlight, save favorites, download titles for offline access, and more.
Instructions:
1. Go to https://subscription.westacademic.com/.
2. Click "Create an Account" in the upper right-hand corner, and follow the prompts using your SHU email address to set up your account.
3. Wait for an email that says your account has been approved (it should only take a few minutes for students, but may take up to 1-2 hours for faculty/staff accounts), and then verify your account.
Once your account is properly set up, you can log in independently from your school’s network.

For Guest Access: When you are on campus, simply click the study aids link on your library homepage or go to subscription.westacademic.com. When you are off campus, access is available by signing into your school network (see image below).

West Study Aids are now available for offline reading through the West Academic Library app.

To Read Study Aids Subscription Titles Offline, Follow These Steps:
1. Use your browser to sign in to your West Academic account (to create an account see instructions on this page).
2. Open a book and click the Available Offline checkbox.
3. Sign in to the app with your West Academic username and password. Books you selected for offline viewing appear in the app.
To access audiobooks on West Academic, please create an account and use the West Academic Library app.
You trigger a redemption of that title through the application before they're accessible on RedShelf. You’re able to do this by clicking on the “Open in RedShelf eReader” within any given book while within subscription.westacademic.com.
